The House of Mercy with the Education Justice Project has develop a comprehensive Reentry Guide. It provides those reentering society from incarceration in Washington easy-to-use access and information about available resources. It covers a large variety of service (Housing, Food, Mental-Dental-Medical Healthcare, Employment, Clothing, Transportation, assistance in acquiring important documents, etc.)
House of Mercy has an Impressive recidivism rate!!!
Washington's Department of Correction boast a relatively low recidivism rate compared to other states for those reentry prison within three years of release at 22.1% for 2020-2023. As great as that is, House of Mercy's recidivism rate for participants reentering prison within three years of release is less than 5%, and for the period of January-June 2024 their participant recidivism rate was 0%. Wow!!! Very impressive.
