Jesus died on the cross to pay the price (death) of our sins and to make away were we can have a relationship with God. He didn't have to do it; he chose too. Now, we just have to repent of our sins, believe He is the Son of God, and surrender our lives to him.
This is a cursed world! We have to learn to stay focused on where we are going, not where we are.
