When Christians talk about how they were saved, what does that mean. Some people use it in the context that God saved them from something specific (alcohol, drugs, suicide...), but normally it means that God saved them for the after-death consequences of their sins - which is eternal separation from God (No more love, peace, joy, or contact with loved ones, etc.)
A gang member gives his life to Jesus Christ. Afterward, he was born again. What does that mean? He surrenders his and will to become more like Jesus (in accordance with the Bible scriptures), which symbolically make him a new person. Hence, his old ways are dead, his new ways are Christ-like - he is a new person in-Christ, so he was born again.
This is the most important question we all have to answer. It's important that we get it right!
Am I where God can use me?
It's simple to say but tough to do, Trust God!
